CHARLES A. ROTH, M.D.
Charles A. Roth M.D. is proud to announce his joining with the Andrews Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center. With 25 years of experience in Pensacola, FL and surrounding areas as an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Roth has had a true commitment to his community and has provided quality care and the latest technologies in orthopaedic and sports related injuries. He received his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Texas and attended The University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. After completion of medical school, Dr. Roth attended Residency at LSU affiliated hospitals with an internship at Charity Hospital in New Orelans, LA. he was elected Chairman of the AOA Residence Conference held in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Roth performed his sports medicine training with renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. David Drez of Lake Charles, LA. Dr. Roth has provided team physician coverage for Pine Forest High School athletics, Gulf Breeze High School athletics, Ice Pilots minor league hockey, Ringside Physician for the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Association, a Licensed Ringside Physician for the Florida Athletic Commission and is currently the Orthopaedic Consultant for Ballet Pensacola. Dr. Roth is active in clinical research at the Andrews Institute. He is currently involved in the research of Cartilage Autograft Implantation (CAIS) for knee carilage deficits. He is also involved in and Principal Investigator for Shoulder - Hyaluronic Acid Injection for Asteoarthritis of the Shoulder and has recently completed participation as principal investigator for anticoagulation after total knee replacement with factor X inhibitors to prevent blood clots. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor for Florida State University and Clinical Assistant Professor for The University of South Alabama Medical Center Physician Assistant Program. Dr. Roth is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthoscopy Association of North America, Florida Orthopaedics Society, Southern Medical Assocation, Southern Orthopaedics Association, American Ringside Physician Assocation and the American College for Sports Medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Roth enjoys family, fishing, hunting, hiking and playing guitar. His favorite places, the Grand Canyon and Glacier National Park.
